Join the Butterfly House & Aquarium (BHA) and Great Plains Zoo (GPZ) for our annual fall Homeschool Day on September 19, 2024!

About Homeschool Day
The topic for this Fall will be Animal Careers! Learn about different careers involving animals, from animal care and veterinary medicine to education and conservation!
This educational adventure will include a variety of animal encounters, activities, learning stations, and keeper and veterinarian talks. Participants will also receive take-home packets filled with activity instructions to continue learning at home!
This program is appropriate for grades 3-12 and suitable for grades K12 (program not suitable for preschool/pre-K students).
Schedule
- Morning activities will take place at the Great Plains Zoo campus from 9 am - 12 pm.
- Afternoon activities will take place at the Butterfly House & Aquarium campus from 1 - 4 pm.
You are welcome to participate in activities at either or both of our locations.

2 Attendees: $10
4 Attendees: $20
Additional attendees: $5 each
*BHA Members will need to register over the phone to receive your member rate. Call the GPZ Education Department at 605.367.8313 x233 to register.
Non-Members for Full-Day:

Registration Information
- Full-day registration includes admission and activities at both GPZ and BHA.
- Half-day registration includes admission and activities at GPZ only.
- Participants will receive wristbands at check-in that will give special access to the event's activities. Each participant will also receive a take-home activity packet.
*Children must be accompanied by an adult. One adult may supervise up to 5 children.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made more than 7 days before the event will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 7 days of the event will not be refunded.
