Homeschool Day 2023
Join the Great Plains Zoo and Butterfly House & Aquarium for our first annual Homeschool Day on October 20, 2023!
About Homeschool Day
The topic for this year will be Animal Habitats! Learn about different habitats around the world and unique animal traits that help them survive in their habitats.
This educational adventure will include a variety of animal encounters, activities, crafts, learning stations, and keeper talks. Participants will also receive take-home packets filled with activity instructions to continue learning at home!
Morning activities will take place at the Butterfly House & Aquarium from 9 AM to 12 PM. Afternoon activities will take place at the Great Plains Zoo from 1 PM to 4 PM. You are welcome to participate in activities at either or both of our locations!
This program is appropriate for grades K-12.
Registration Information
Registration includes admission and activities at both BHA and GPZ. Participants will receive wristbands at check-in that will give special access to the event's activities. Each participant will also receive a take-home activity packet.
*Children must be accompanied by an adult. One adult may supervise up to 5 children.

Additional family members: $5 each
BHA, GPZ, & Monarch Members:

Additional family members: $5 each
*BHA Members will need to register over the phone to receive your member rate. Call the GPZ Education Department at (605) 367-8313 x233 to register.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made more than 7 days before the event will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 7 days of the event will not be refunded.
